Getting Started

The EVITP Recertification Course

Because this is a recertification course, you are not required to complete all modules. The following lessons are required for recertification: Lesson 2.4 and all lessons within modules 3, 4, 5, and 7. The Recertification exam is based on lesson 2.4 and all lessons within Modules 3, 4, 5, and 7. Even so, you have access to all course modules and we encourage you to review and complete the entire course before scheduling your exam.

About The Full EVITP Course

The EVITP full course is foundational learning in preparation for the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program (EVITP) Certification Exam. It provides comprehensive training in the installation and maintenance of electric vehicle charging products and related equipment. Electricians finishing this training will have the skills to apply best practices for charging station (EVSE) installation, infrastructure site evaluation, electrical load analysis, system activation, troubleshooting, safety and more.

Whether taking the full course or the recertification course, the modules build knowledge incrementally. Each module contains a series of lessons that cover specific topics related to that module. To progress through each module, learners must pass knowledge checks and quizzes to ensure thorough understanding before unlocking the next lesson. Knowledge checks require a score of 100% to pass with unlimited attempts; while module quizzes require a minimum score of 70% to pass with unlimited attempts.

Important! Shortly after completion of the prerequisites, you will receive an email from noreply@proctoru.com with instructions to schedule your final recertification exam.  If you do not pass the exam on your first attempt, we highly suggest reviewing all course content again before your next try. This will give you a comprehensive refresher before retaking the test. While the full course is not required, going through all the material can improve your chances of recertifying successfully.

The exam will be online with a live proctor. A minimum score of 70% is required to be recertified.
