Getting Started

This course acts as a foundational guide in preparation for the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program (EVITP) Certification Exam. It offers an introductory overview of current electric vehicle charging products and related equipment. Electricians finishing this training will have the skills to apply best practices for charging station installation, infrastructure site evaluation, electrical load analysis, system activation, troubleshooting, and safety. Through an arrangement with EVITP, after your completion of the online course content here, you will be directed to register for the certification exam.

The course consists of seven modules that build knowledge incrementally. Each module contains a series of lessons that cover specific topics related to that module. To progress through each module, learners must pass knowledge checks and quizzes to ensure thorough understanding before unlocking the next lesson. Knowledge checks require a score of 100% to pass with unlimited attempts; while module quizzes require a minimum score of 70% to pass with unlimited attempts.

Since this is a recertification course, you are not required to complete all modules, however the following lessons are required for certification: Lesson 2.4 and all lessons within Modules 3, 4, 5, and 7.

Important! Upon completion of the prerequisites, you will have the opportunity to register for the final recertification exam.  If you do not pass the exam on your first attempt, we highly suggest reviewing all course content again before your next try. This will give you a comprehensive refresher before retaking the test. While the full course is not required, going through all the material can improve your chances of recertifying successfully.

The exam will be proctored and a minimum score of 75% is required to successfully gain certification. Learners may consult the instructor or point of contacts anytime with content-related questions or issues that arise as you work through this online learning experience focused on comprehension and skill building.
Upon completion of the online modules, you will be directed to register for the certification exam.
